Student Council

Each 4th, 5th and 6th grade class elects two Student Council representatives at the beginning of the year. Interested students write a speech explaining why they would like to be on Student Council. Classroom teachers read the speeches without identifying the nominee, and the class votes for their representatives.

Student Council raises money for our school and our favorite charities through fundraisers. Student Council representatives also run all-school fundraisers, hold doors at Community Assemblies during the school year, and act as guides to help explain our school at the Parent Information Evening for prospective parents. In addition, returning Student Council members participate in welcoming new students in grade 1 through 6 at New Student Orientation.

Student Council representatives must:

Be responsible by attending all meetings and leading assemblies.

Be good role models by demonstrating appropriate behavior in school.

Have a positive attitude about our school.
